Fire fighting in Oil refining and petrochemical industries as well as heavy industries demand large water capacity and even several foam tanks to meet the special needs of the complex chemical processes. Rosenbauer MT product line offers a high degree of specialization and extinguishing capacity for fire protection in the industrial sector.
Modular design concept
MT fire truck bodies are modular in design. Depending on the wishes of the customer, the vehicle can be individualized by combining a variety of components for varying requirements.
As broad as the application area of the MT product line is, so the demands on the firefighting equipment are diverse. For this reason, all extinguishing systems that Rosenbauer has to offer can be installed in the MT vehicles, without exception. And because pumps, proportioning systems and turrets have always been developed and manufactured in house, all components harmonize perfectly with each other for maximum performance and reliability in operation.
Vehicles from the MT product line with larger water tanks are particularly well-suited to supporting municipal fire departments. In addition, the material properties of the self-supporting tank even make it possible to use them for transporting drinking water. This is a great advantage when it comes to, for example, deployments in areas hit by disasters.

MT vehicles can be fitted with the Rosenbauer proCAB for transporting the crew. This can be customised in terms of size, number of seats and design, and can be designed either as a standalone or docking cabin.
The Rosenbauer Modular Technology superstructure can be easily combined with all common chassis with 2 to 4 axles.
The volumes of the extinguishing agent tanks, which can be designed for water, foam or a combination of both, range from 2,000 to 20,000 litres. The tanks are made of polypropylene.
The equipment compartment module for accommodation of the technical equipment, which can be manufactured in lengths from 650 to 2,950 mm, with or without step-on stirrups, flaps, full-height lockers, and hinged steps.
The size of this module depends on the pump performance and the optional foam proportioning system. Access is via a flap or roller shutters. At the side, optional step-on flaps or stirrups make it easier to remove the equipment.
The boom from Rosenbauer is available in heights of 16.5 m and 20 m and with a Piercing Tool. The STINGER can be controlled via a radio remote control. The boom in MT vehicles can be rotated through a full360°. Maximum flow rate is 4,500 l/min.
