Process safety management

Process safety management (PSM) is a regulation by OSHA and helps companies to prevent highly hazardous chemicals (HHCs) from being mishandled or released. PSM has 14 elements that include several requirements in handling, using, moving, storing, or manufacturing these harmful HHCs. These efforts help to prevent and minimize catastrophic releases that can result in fire or explosion hazards.
